This workshop introduces the basics of handcraft and design. You’ll learn how to work with tanned leather, punch holes, fit buckles, and stitch by hand - giving you real skills you can use again.

Use Real Thread and Tools to Stitch and Assemble a Leather Project

You’ll use high-quality thread, leatherworking tools, and a pre-cut project kit to make your item from start to finish. It’s the perfect way to understand how leather goods are made without machines.

Build Confidence With Clear Instruction and Practical Training

Each step is taught at your pace. We keep classes small so you get personal support and space to grow. We aim to teach skills that leave you more confident and capable with every project.

The leather is ready to go. You just bring yourself. Choose your project, from crossbody bags to classic totes, and use the provided materials to make it your own.

Use Tools Provided by Cape Leather Training's Mobile Studio

We bring everything needed, from leatherworking punches and cutting mats to stitching tools and glue. No need to shop or prepare - we’ve tailored the experience so you can focus on learning.

Take Home a Finished Leather Item Made by You

You’ll leave with a belt, bag, or accessory that you made by hand. It’s a project tailored to your day and your interest - something you’ll be proud to use or gift.

We offer several workshop projects, including moon bags, aprons, and totes. Each one is pre-designed and tested to be completed within the workshop timeframe. You pick what fits you best.

Class Times, Coffee Breaks, and What You Need to Bring

Workshops start at 09:00, with coffee at 08:45 and a short break at 10:30. We supply everything else. You may bring your own lunch or order from the venue.
